1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RivalScope (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RivalScope (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Service Description

RivalScope is an AI visibility monitoring platform that tracks how artificial intelligence assistants — including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews — mention and recommend your brand. The Service analyses AI-generated responses, provides visibility scores, identifies citation sources, and delivers actionable recommendations to improve your brand's presence in AI-generated content.

3. Account Registration

When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Maintain only one account per person. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

4. Free Trial

New accounts are eligible for a 3-day free trial of the Pro plan, providing access to all Pro features at no cost. Each individual is entitled to one free trial only. At the end of the trial period, your account will automatically downgrade to the Free plan unless you subscribe to a paid plan. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial offer at any time.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are available on monthly and annual billing cycles. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and are processed securely through Stripe.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment for the full year.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will retain their current pricing until the end of their current billing period.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
  • Monthly subscriptions: no partial refunds are provided for the remainder of a billing period.
  • Annual subscriptions: refunds may be requested within the first 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable.
  • Upon cancellation, your account will revert to the Free plan. Your data will be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service, except through our official API (if provided).
  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Service or its data without our prior written consent.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures of the platform.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Our platform: RivalScope and all associated intellectual property, including the software, design, branding, and documentation, are owned by RivalScope. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited licence to use the Service.
  • Your brand data: you retain full ownership of the brand data, competitor information, and keywords you submit to the platform.
  • AI-generated responses: responses generated by third-party AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google) are subject to the terms and conditions of those respective providers. RivalScope does not claim ownership of AI-generated content.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • AI platform responses may change at any time without notice, as they are controlled by third-party providers. RivalScope does not guarantee the accuracy, consistency, or availability of AI-generated content.
  • Visibility scores and recommendations are based on data available at the time of each scan and may fluctuate between scans.
  • We make no guarantees that following our recommendations will result in improved AI visibility or any specific business outcome.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
